Something to Say-World blog is a forum where I can vent and share my strong viewpoints with the world, and get feedback from others, whether they are pro or con, for or against my positions. The main thing is that we engage in a thought provoking discussion with hopes of seeing the world in a more clearer and different light than we did before initiating our intellectual dialogues. __________ MOTTO:Committed To Relentless Pursuit Of Hidden Truths -Globally-

RUSSIA! HAS THE BIG BEAR AWAKENED?

'Russia's invasion of Georgia indicates that the "Big Bear" will no longer tolerate interference from the US, the West or NATO, specifically in that order. So what has really caused the Big Bear to rise up and strike with such massive force against Georgia? No doubt a litany of issues that have been of concern to the Russians for some time. In particular, the US' insistence on placing-supposedly-anti-terrorist missile sites in Poland and other countries that are close to Russia. And former Soviet block countries, such as Georgia, that are desperately trying to or have become members of NATO. Such aggressive, bold and defiant acts, as seem through Russia's eyes, send a chilling message to Russia that it is slowly but surely being squeezed, surrounded and most of all disrespected.

In regards to NATO by the way, that entity should have been deactivated once the Soviet Union became defunct and non-existent as a collective force.

However, when one puts him or herself in the place of Russia, the only logical conclusion is that it was only a matter of time before Russia would react; no matter how repulsive and dis-proportionate the invasion may appear to the US and the international community as a whole; for which little Georgia foolishly provided to Russia at its own detriment. Thus, Russia was probably waiting for the right moment in time and opportune place, to send a resounding warning. No doubt the US' strategic in-your-face plan to locate missiles in Russia's own front and back yards is an arrogance and blunder that only the macho Bush administration could make. Surely President Bush and his foreign policy advisors, coupled with wise counsel from historians, should have known that Russia would not sit idly by forever and allow its security-whether real or perceived-be threaten without a response. Just as the US rightfully protected its back door during the Cuban Crisis, it is only logical to surmise Russia would eventually do so as well.

As such, the on-going war with Georgia over the former Russian held territory of South Ossetia is about much more than just that issue. Russia is ending a clear message to the US, the West, NATO and neighboring countries: "Back off! You have pushed us too far. If you don't cease and desist, then there is more to come as you see with Georgia." Could this be the beginning of a new Cold War era?

Anyone that understands the psychology of bears (scared and desperate people as well) knows that the last thing you ever want to do with a bear is to pin his or her back against the wall, or make them feel cornered. You see, that is when the bear becomes even more dangerous and ferocious. This is-unquestionably- the mindset Russia is experiencing today. You decide!

That's what the Communist say to the little peons. Keep telling the masses facts, facts, facts, eventually they'll think it's the truth. "I will not be brain washed !" said the free thinker. There is no other country where millions of people have moved to or want to live. Everyone is yearning to be free and live in a country like the Good Old U.S. of A. America is not perfect but is the best in human history it's the light of liberty. Those who want to leave it are free to go with all their belongings, their money and wisdom. Unlike Cuba, Venezuela and any marxist, lenonist, Islamo fascist country. where you have to leave with the shirt that's on your back and you loose everything you have. Many have lost their lives. Sadly, some Americans are not ready to admit they also have being brainwashed by the arrogant Bush Administration propaganda. The sad truth is that Neocons (who do not even represent the ideology of the conservative Republican party) have destroyed this country the last 8 years. A handful of large corporations have taken control of much of the mass media in America. Finding one’s way through the blandness, sanitation and deception served up as ‘news’ can make it difficult to obtain the perspective essential to a functioning democracy. BUT YOU CAN OPEN YOUR EYES AND BE OBJECTIVE, EVEN IF IT HURTS. LOOK FOR DIVERSE SOURCE OF NEWS AND INFORMATION, AND DO NOT RELY STRICTLY ON WHAT THEY ARE FEEDING YOU TO SELL THEIR OWN AGENDA! America USED TO BE a great country and CAN become great again, if American people are not so ignorant and self defensive, and see things as truly are. You can not be ignorant and free and great at the same time. "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be~~Thomas Jefferson
"You shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free"~~Jesus

PS. Even Republican conservatives like Pat Buchanan recognize that with the drop of the dollar, for which Bush administration is mostly responsible, we are witnessing the end of an empire.

PPS. Read also articles by the Father of Reaganomics, Paul Craig Roberts, an intelligent government official under Reagan, who would be in accordance with what the author of the above article writes... Read Barry Goldwater and others... Bush does not represent the republican ideology you think he does.
