December Review: Afghanistan War Is a Failure****President Obama: Bring Our Soldiers Home!

OBAMA! Bring Our Soldiers Home! They've Been Gone Much Too long!
______________________________________________________________
A protest video-song dedicated to the brave women and men serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan, to their families and veterans as well who are actually the ones bearing the brunt of a flawed-macho foreign policy. Thus, the composition of this song was inspired by the on-going debate among the US presidential candidates and their pundits over whether US troops in Iraq, in particular, should be withdrawn on a specific timetable or remain indefinitely-until the job is done(?). However, the issue is not about who is right or wrong in this highly emotional and never-ending discussion, but rather who is paying the highest price and ultimate sacrifice in a war that was unnecessary and "never should have been.
"
BRING OUR SOLDIERS HOME! They've Been Gone Much Too Long!
Six long years have passed, fighting a war
our leaders said wouldn't last
A war based on propaganda, shades of truths and lies
Our soldiers are dying across the seas in foreign lands
From the sandy deserts of Iraq, to the rugged mountains of Afghanistan
Bring our soldiers home (Refrain)
They've been gone much, much too long
Bring our soldiers home
Back to their motherland, family and friends
Back from a war that has no end
A war that should never have been
Brave soldiers dying while politicians go on lying
They say: “It's all for a worthy cause"
But when truth unfolds, the whole world knows,
it's all about black gold
The hypocrites heads are deep, deep in sand
But they sure in the hell are not in Iraq nor Afghanistan
Bring our soldiers home
They've been gone much, much too long
Bring our soldiers home
Back to their motherland, family and friends
Back from a war that has no end
A war that should never, never have been
Why must leaders always seek enemies?
Instead of searching for peace and harmony?
And when will they learn that some wars you just can't
win? For you see!
No army has ever conquered determined minds of men,
with strong will that lies deep within
But a new day is coming!
I can see over the horizon, new leaders arising
No more will war be first choice, the whole wide world
shall rejoice
And all the seas will be calm
Because a brand new day, yea, will have come
Bring our soldiers home
They've been gone much, much too long
Bring our soldiers home
Back to their motherland, family and friends
Back from a war that has no end
A war that should never, never have been
Ad Lib)
I can hear the children crying now
They're calling for their mommies and daddies to
come back home
They're crying for them to bring a teddy bear
Mommy, daddy when are you coming home?
Will you be home for Christmas?
Will you bring me a teddy bear mommy?
Oh I miss you so much, I love you dearly too
